Josh Pastore is announced in Finalists for HPU’s Second Business Plan Competition.
/EINPresswire.com/ It’s been a busy spring for Josh Pastore. In fact, he has three separate accomplishments to announce: Two involve business competitions and one involves a golf benefit.
“I’ve always been the sort of person who is happiest when busy. It’s just my nature, I suppose,” says Josh Pastore. “But this spring, I’ve been even more active than I normally am, and I already have more plans lined up for the summer.”
Josh Pastore’s first accomplishment took place at the end of March, when he participated in the Charlotte Venture Capitalist Competition. This annual competition, held in April, is designed to pit some of the most talented young business professionals in the world against one another, with the goal of winning funding to turn plans into real businesses. The competition is always fierce, and this year was no exception. Joshua Pastore performed well, however, and he was awarded a semi-finalist position.
“It was an honor to be recognized, especially since I was competing against some very talented people with some amazing business ideas,” Josh Pastore says. “Of course, everyone wants to win, and I know I did, but I’ll take the lessons I learned there and apply them to my next project.”
That project has already been lined up. On April 25, Joshua Pastore will compete as a finalist in the High Point University Business Plan Competition. Once again, he’ll be pitting his business idea, along with his detailed plans, against other students who have similar ideas.
“In order to win, you need a combination of excellent planning, innovative ideas and an ability to persuade,” says Josh Pastore. “I think I have all of these elements down, so I fully expect to do well. In fact, I think I have a great shot at winning this whole competition!”
Josh Pastore will apply this competitive streak in the world of sports in May, when he plans to participate in the Bud Kivett Memorial Championship competition at the Oak Hollow Golf Course. This will be the second time that Joshua Pastore has participated in this event.
“Last year, when I played, I was able to make it onto the reader board with my score, but this year I want to do better,” says Joshua Pastore. “I’ve been practicing hard all year, so I am fairly confident that I can go out there, play a great game, and bring home an award.”
