New York – Rock singer Bret Michaels has settled a lawsuit he filed against Tony’s Awards show organizers in connection with injuries sustained from being hit with a set prop in 2009. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Michaels reached a settlement with show organizers and CBS Broadcasting for an undisclosed sum.

As noted in the report the lawsuit was filed in 2011, after Michaels’ 2010 hospitalization following the incident for a brain hemorrhage and subsequent stroke. CBS aired the incident, which was later purportedly viewed by millions via the Internet, during the Tony Awards broadcast.

Alex Weingarten, an attorney for the rock star is quoted by the AP as writing in a statement, “Mr. Michaels would like to thank his fans for their continued support.”
