VICTOR MARQUES JOINS U.S. RE CORPORATION AS SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT

/EINPresswire.com/ (Pearl River, New York – June 4, 2012)—Joseph Fedor, Executive Vice President, U.S. RE Corporation, the reinsurance brokerage subsidiary of U.S. RE Companies, today announced that Victor M. Marques has joined the Corporation as Sr. Vice President.

“Victor brings better than 25 years in the field to his new role at U.S. RE’s expanding brokerage operations”, announced Fedor. Mr. Marques was formerly Executive Vice President, BMS Group, Ltd. and, before that, Sr. Vice President with AM RE Brokers, a division of Munich Reinsurance Corporation. He also held leadership positions at Munich America Services Corp. and prior to that at Willcox Incorporated, the reinsurance brokerage subsidiary of Johnson & Higgins. He started his career at Covenant Mutual Insurance Company and has since worked in several sectors of the reinsurance field, including reinsurance underwriting, claims, retrocession and technology.

According to Joe Fedor, the appointment of Victor Marques marks another substantial addition to the U.S. RE team: “Many colleagues within significant quarters in the reinsurance arena of the business know Victor for his expertise. He is a genuine pro with great experience and knowledge in the field. We welcome him to the growing team in U.S. RE Corporation.”

Marques, a resident of Trumbull Connecticut, holds a BS and a BA in insurance and financial services from the University of Hartford and is continuing advanced studies at the College of Insurance.

He is working at the firm’s headquarters in Pearl River, New York.
