Family Life Credit Services in West Fargo is currently accepting donations for the 2nd Annual “A Coat before the Storm” coat and sock drive. The donations will be distributed to community members at the event on October 25.
Winter is coming to the area, and everyone knows that it gets cold in Fargo-Moorhead. FLCS is collecting clean, gently used and new coats along with packages of new socks in all sizes for children and adults.
Joe Larson of Family Life Credit Services is hopeful to almost double last year’s number of donations. “Last year, we gave away over 300 coats, and we are expecting to give away over 600 this year,” says Larson.
If you or someone you know is in need of a winter coat, please top by the downtown YMCA on October 25 from 1-6 pm. FLCS will be passing out coats, socks and winter accessories. Free pizza and beverages will also be served at the event.
If interested in donating, coats and socks are being collected at the following Fargo locations: Family Life Thrift Store- 1000 45th Street South, Luther Family Ford-3302 36th Street Southwest, Downtown YMCA- 400 1st Avenue South, Life 97.9 FM-5702 52nd Avenue South, American Family Insurance-415 38th Street South and Sandy’s Donuts-301 Main Avenue West in West Fargo.
