/EINPresswire.com/ Rezolve Group, Inc., the nation’s largest provider of student aid estimation technology and services, showcased its college-cost transparency innovations during Tuesday’s Education Datapalooza sponsored by the White House and the U.S. Department of Education.
“We leverage information and technology to inform aspiring students of their college affordability before they apply,” said Craig V. Carroll, Rezolve Group Founder and Chief Executive Officer. “It is exciting to be part of an industry wide focus on delivering personalized and actionable data to students and families so they can make informed decisions and graduate with as little debt as possible.”
Rezolve Group, which serves nearly 700 campuses and 1.5 million college students annually, is the first to enable schools to adopt the new Financial Aid Shopping Sheet, an individualized aid award letter to help prospective students understand and compare their affordability among various colleges of interest. Hundreds of postsecondary institutions have pledged to adopt the Shopping Sheet, a requirement for institutions awarding military aid, according to the department. The White House and the U.S. Department of Education are encouraging all postsecondary institutions to adopt the Shopping Sheet.
Rezolve Group also announced support of the U.S. Department of Education’s new MyData Initiative, which enables students to share data they provide on their federal student aid application (FAFSA) with other education-related services. Rezolve Group’s subsidiary Student Aid Services, Inc., the leading provider of custom net price calculators, plans to offer MyData capabilities to all of its net price calculator clients. Sharing FAFSA data will make it easier for students to use net price calculators and is expected to promote greater use.
Also presented was the company’s custom College Cost & Planning Report(R), a kitchen-table workbook that helps students compare critical decision factors. A personalized side-by-side comparison of up to 10 schools provides powerful planning data, including calculated financial aid eligibility and net cost, early in the college-planning process. Supported by key philanthropic and higher education authorities, such as USA Funds and the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority, Rezolve Group provides this personal report, as well as free assistance with preparing the FAFSA, to tens of thousands of low-income students nationwide through a program called Access for All(R).
Led by Eric McCormack, Rezolve Group’s Vice President of Software Development, the company has compiled 279 million unique data points about financial aid, education costs and college attributes. This gives the firm the ability to calculate individual eligibility for more than $159 billion in military, state and federal financial aid programs. Rezolve Group’s market-leading services and technology are fueled by this robust data set. Complex algorithms calculate accurate college-cost estimates that provide students and their families the personalized, price-transparency information they need to make well-informed decisions.
Education Datapalooza showcased innovations that converge free public data and personalized information with technology to improve higher education access. Rezolve Group was one of 15 companies recognized. Featured special guests included Arne Duncan, U.S. Secretary of Education; Todd Park, Assistant to the President and U.S. Chief Technology Officer; and Jim Shelton, Assistant Deputy Secretary, Office of Innovation and Improvement for the U.S. Department of Education.
