Ft. Thomas orthodontist Dr. Jeri Stull of Stull Orthodontics has for years supported local charities and causes, both personally and professionally. But recently, during a conversation with the mother of a patient about charitable giving, the Ft. Thomas Invisalign specialist had a “transcen-dental” thought, “Why don’t we let our orthodontic patients and their families determine to whom we donate?”
“We have patients ask weekly if we will donate to their chosen cause(s), and we try to support these local philanthropists as much as possible,” offers Dr. Stull. “But instead of $10 here and $50 there, what if we pooled those amounts to give to one charity that our entire patient body chooses by way of voting?” the Ft. Thomas orthodontist asks. “So we’ve launched a new campaign that we’re calling ‘You Choose, We Donate.’ We post three local charities in an application on our Facebook page, and ask the patients to cast their vote as to who gets the donation.”
The “You Choose We Donate” charity drive will conclude on November 15th at which time, the cause with the most votes, either Campbell County Animal Hospital, or the Brighton Center, or the Charities Guild of Northern Kentucky, will receive a $1000 donation from Dr. Stull’s Northern Kentucky orthodontics practice. The charity with the second and third most votes will each receive $100. Patients and their families are told about the campaign during their normal appointments. “Patients are excited to hear that we’re involved in these causes, and have given us better names for the campaign going forward,” states Ft. Thomas Invisalign Premier Provider, orthodontist Jeri Stull.
In the end, Dr. Stull is pleased to simply involve his patients in the act of philanthropic participation. “As an example, one of the causes, The Brighton Center creates opportunities for individuals and families to reach self-sufficiency. Fort Thomas is made stronger as a community with such private charities caring for those in need. And our patients and families are made aware that these charities’ survival is dependent on reciprocal community support” offers Ft. Thomas orthodontist Dr. Stull.
