From business park to forest park: local business swaps desks for spades and…

Employees from Edenred, a business located on Chester Business Park, swapped their desks for spades recently in order to help more local families make the most of Delamere Forest.

The 14 strong working party was given time off for the company’s “Green Day” a company initiative which aims to help improve the environment.

In a hard day out in the woods employees helped to create a new picnic area, three stone paths, installation of three picnic tables and clearer pathways to allow better access for disabled and able-bodied children and families.

Derrick Hardman, Managing Director of Incentives and Motivation, who is based at the Chester office said:

“As a local employer we believe it is important to give something back to the families and people who work in the area.

Delamere Forest is a great place for people to get out, exercise and enjoy a healthy environment.

We chose this project because we wanted to invest our time in something which would benefit the largest number of people in the local community. It was an early start and a hard day’s work but very rewarding for all those involved.”
