Orlando, Florida – A new photo showing George Zimmerman, who stands accused of murder in the February shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, with a bloody nose has been released. As reported by Reuters, the photo was posted online Monday by Zimmerman’s defense team and has since been circulated by news outlets.
Zimmerman’s lawyer Mark O’Mara is quoted by Reuters as stating of the photo, “It’s not a game changer… Does it really show what happened that night to George? Yes.”
The murder trial of Zimmerman, who claims the shooting of Martin was in self-defense, is reportedly set for June 2013. Martin was stated to have been unarmed during the incident.
