AQ Audio’s SmartSpeaker has been met by an enthusiastic reception from reviewers, some of whom are describing the product as among the best of its category.
Writing for tech news and reviews site Pocket-lint.com, Hunter Skipworth paid tribute to the AQ Audio wireless speakers‘ sleek design and outstanding sound quality. He also noted that getting them up and running was a particularly simple process, explaining that all the user has to do is to turn the SmartSpeaker on and it soon appears in the audio device’s AirPlay menu without any complications.

Pocket-lint.com wasn’t the only outlet to give the SmartSpeaker a rapturous review. Trusted Reviews also issued it with a warm reception, paying particular tribute to its stylish design and noting that its “smooth, unctuous curves” complemented one another in “near perfect combination”. The site also acknowledged that the SmartSpeaker’s portability is another big point in its favour, with its relatively light weight making it ideal for use in a variety of different scenarios.
In addition, Trusted Reviews also welcomed the imminent arrival of the SmartSpeaker Android app – which will enable streaming from Android-powered smartphones and tablets – and DLNA support. Furthermore, a forthcoming DirectMode update will allow for direct connection via Android or iOD devices, negating the need for a Wi-Fi connection.
The Independent also named the SmartSpeaker as the best wireless speaker on the market, beating competition from a range of other big names. Writer Samuel Muston said the SmartSpeaker would “melt the hearts of hi-fi nerds” and pointed out that the speakers can be used individually as wireless iPhone or PC docks, or they can be deployed together to produce powerful, clear stereo sound.
