Sparkloft Media’s client, The Beaches of Fort Myers & Sanibel, was honored with a Silver Adrian Award in Social Media for its outstanding Pinterest “bucket list” sweepstake.

“Earning this award in this international travel marketing competition recognizes our work as some of the best in the world and acknowledges the outstanding results we are achieving for our destination,” Tamara Pigott, VCB Executive Director, said in response to the award from the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI).

The “Pin Your Way to The Beaches of Fort Myers & Sanibel” campaign harnessed the power of photography by asking users to build custom Pinterest “bucket lists” highlighting their Southwest Florida dream vacations.

The Adrian Awards, which honors outstanding achievement in advertising, public relations and digital marketing in the travel industry, recognized this campaign for its innovative design that successfully raised awareness of the destination and cultivated a community of passionate destination ambassadors.

During the sweepstake, the client gained 300 new Pinterest followers and received 4,363 repins of their destination images. Promotion of the sweepstake on Facebook and Twitter reached more than 45,000 fans and 269,000 followers, respectively.
