Denver, Colorado – Prosecutors have rejected a plea offer from Colorado theater shooter James Holmes. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), prosecutors accused attorneys for the defense of breaching court rules in making the offer public.
Prosecutors allege the defense refuses to provide them with information needed for the evaluation of the offer, which would purportedly allow Holmes to avoid the death penalty.
Holmes was charged with several counts of murder as well as attempted murder after a mass shooting at a movie theater in Aurora, Colorado in July.
