Texas inmates sought after jail escape

Sulphur Springs, TX – Two inmates escaped from a jail in East Texas this week. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Brian Allen Tucker of Sulphur Springs and John Marlin King of Cumby escaped from the Hopkins County Jail Tuesday morning.

Both inmates are stated to have long criminal histories. Tucker was being held on the charge of capital murder. King was being held on multiple charges including burglary and possession of a controlled substance.

Sheriff Butch Adams is quoted by the AP as stating of the search for the men, “Certainly, we’re going to do our best to get them back…We have a lot of help here from other counties and jurisdictions.”
