Molly Hatchet’s “Justice” World Tour will be heading to Palatka for the First Annual Paper City Music Fest held at the Putnam Fair and Expo Center. 118 Yelvington Rd, East Palatka, FL.

The festival’s entertainment also includes The Jimmie Van Zant Band, Blackfoot, Shanytown and Rusty Shine (with more bands to be announced at a later date.) The festival is an all day family event that includes activities for Southern Rock lovers of all ages.

Molly Hatchet originates from Jacksonville,FL and was formed in 1975. Their self-titled album was released in 1978 and went platinum. The following album titled Flirting with Disaster was released in 1979 and made the Billboard Top 20 Pop Albums at number 19, the album also went triple platinum. The album titled single “Flirting with Disaster” became their biggest hit in 1980 and topped the charts at number 42.

After 38 years of music experience and multiple band member changes, Molly Hatchet continues to play and sell out concert venues around the world.

With Jacksonville being known as the “Home of Southern Rock Royalty” 23 years after the fatal plane crash that killed his cousin, Jimmie Van Zant formed The Jimmie Van Zant Band in 2000. His first album Southern Comfort included the heartfelt tribute to his beloved cousin “Ronnie’s Song.” His next albums were released in 2008, 2011 and the latest in 2012.

The Jimmie Van Zant Band currently tours the U.S performing over 200 shows a year and carrying on the legendary Van Zant legacy.

Gates open at 11 a.m, show starts at 1 p.m and the event will end at 11 p.m
