Illumination received the exciting news that CEO, Karri Bass, was chosen by the U.S. Small Business Administration as the Small Business Owner of the Year for the State of Ohio for 2013. Karri will be traveling to Washington DC in June to be recognized along with winners of the other 49 states and will be competing for the National Small Business Person of the Year award. The Small Business Person of the Year is selected based on growth in sales, increase in number of employees, financial strength, innovativeness of product or service, and contributions to community-oriented projects.
This award is the latest in a wonderful run of recognition for the company. In 2012 Karri was chosen as a finalist for Ernst and Young’s National Entrepreneurial Winning Women program and Illumination was awarded Woman-Owned Business of the Year Runner Up in Cincinnati.
