Michigan – A Michigan woman was caught on video discussing a plot to murder her husband with an undercover police detective posing as a hit man. As reported by the Huffington Post, Julia Merfeld claimed asking the hitman to kill her husband was “easier than divorcing him.”
Merfeld is quoted in the report as stating to the undercover Michigan State Police detective, “This is kind of like a clean getaway… I mean, it’s going to break my heart when it happens, but it’s something I’ve been thinking about for awhile.”
Merfeld pled guilty to charges of solicitation of murder last month. She is expected to be sentenced July 30.
