Chicago – The former wife of NBA star Dwayne Wade has filed a lawsuit over his endorsement deal proceeds. As reported by the Chicago Sun-Times, Siohvaughn Wade filed the suit this week in Cook County Circuit Court alleging proceeds that were supposed to be deposited into an account they jointly control have not been as per a 2008 agreement.
The agreement, which was restored after previously being thrown out during their custody dispute, also requires the Miami Heat star to pay half of his 2006 NBA contract income into the account. The couple married in 2002 and split in 2007.
The lawsuit, which alleges breach of contract and civil conspiracy, is seeking a total of $2 million in damages.
