The Kid Central, Inc. childcare center has a new owner, childcare expert and businesswoman Jenn Mackety. After the previous owner of the facility sought retirement, Mackety realized her dream to own and run a center with a child-directed, nature-centric approach to childhood education.
Mackety has more than 30 years of experience in child development and education, working as a pre-school teacher and childcare professional. After many years of working in day care centers, obtaining her academic degree in childhood education and running her own in-home care facility, she jumped on the opportunity to purchase Kid Central, Inc. in Morrison. She also has a strong business background having owned and operated a local construction company.
“Owning a day care center and preschool is a dream come true,” said Jenn Mackety, owner of Kid Central Inc. “I’m so excited to have the opportunity to put my passion for childcare to work full-time and serve as a nurturing role model for children in Morrison and surrounding areas.”
Kid Central, Inc. was purchased from the original owner Sharon Thayer. Inspired by an independent approach to learning and child development, the center offers full- and half-day preschool and kindergarten programs, before and after school care and summer day camps that provide pro-social and educational activities for youth. From homework help to nature walks, Mackety and her staff look forward to helping Colorado children grow and develop as independent learners.
To celebrate the new business ownership, Kid Central Inc. will be hosting an open house on Saturday, July 20, 2013 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 19423 North Turkey Creek Road Morrison, Colo. 80465.
