Beijing – Authorities are searching for a woman who gouged out the eyes of a young boy. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), the massive search was launched on Wednesday for the woman who allegedly grabbed the 6-year-old while he was walking along a path and gouged his eyes out with an unspecified tool.
The identity of the suspect has not been revealed aside from the child stating that she spoke with an outside area accent. Liu, a police officer, is quoted by the AP as stating of the ongoing investigation into the case, “We are sparing no efforts trying to solve this case.”
A 100,000 yuan ($16,000) reward has been offered by authorities in the city of Linfen in Shanxi province for the capture of the woman.
