Arizona mother suspected in the deaths of kids in California

California – An Arizona mother was arrested on suspicion of killing her two children who were found dead in California. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), the bodies of the two children were found in a hotel room at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Santa Ana.

The woman, 42, reportedly crashed her vehicle into protective poles surrounding an electrical box in a Southern California supermarket parking lot. According to police, she appeared to be suicidal when officers responded to the scene.

Costa Mesa Sgt. Tim Starn is quoted by the AP as stating of the crash, “It was clear that it was an intentional act.”

The woman was taken to the hospital following the crash and told police what had happened to her children and where they could be found.

The cause of death remained under investigation at the time of the report.
