Manhattan – Business magnate Rupert Murdoch and wife Wendi Deng have reached a settlement in their divorce. As reported by Reuters, the estranged couple appeared before a judge in Manhattan on Wednesday regarding their agreement in ending their marriage after 14 years.
New York State Judge Ellen Gesmer is quoted as stating to the two, “I’m glad you were able to resolve these matters amicably.”
The key terms of the settlement were not publicly disclosed as noted in the report. According to a source familiar with the terms; however, Deng is expected to maintain their home in Beijing and Manhattan apartment, which carried a record $44 million price tag when it was purchased in 2004.
Murdoch, 82, is the chairman of News Corp and 21st Century Fox. He and Deng, 44, have two children together. Murdoch also has four adult children from previous marriages.
