Kansas City – Prosecutors have charged a 73-year-old white supremacist with murder after shootings at two Jewish community sites resulted in the deaths of three people. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Frazier Glenn Cross made his first court appearance Tuesday from a video conference room while in a wheelchair.
William Lewis Corporon, 69, and his 14-year-old grandson, Reat Griffin Underwood were killed during a shooting outside of the Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City. Terri LaManno, 53, was killed shortly thereafter when she was shot outside of the Jewish retirement complex, Village Shalom.
Federal prosecutors have said that there is sufficient evidence to bring the case against Cross, who founded the Carolina Knights of the Ku Klux Klan in North Carolina, before a grand jury as a hate crime.
Cross’ next court appearance is set for April 24. He is being held on $10 million bond.
