Los Angeles – Republican strategist Karl Rove sparked controversy over comments made about former Secretary of State Hilary Clinton at a recent conference. As reported by PageSix.com, Rove suggested Clinton may have brain damage since suffering a fall in 2012.

Rove, who was onstage with Robert Gibbs and CBS correspondent and “Spies Against Armageddon” co-author Dan Raviv, also stated that the Benghazi issue should continue to be discussed by Republicans.

Rove is quoted as stating to the conference, “Thirty days in the hospital? And when she reappears, she’s wearing glasses that are only for people who have traumatic brain injury? We need to know what’s up with that.”

A spokesperson for Clinton is quoted as stating in response to Rove’s remarks, “Please assure Dr. Rove she’s 100 percent….Karl Rove has deceived the country for years, but there are no words for this level of lying.”
