New York – A man who was fleeing police when he crashed his vehicle into another car in the Adirondacks has been charged. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Trevor Sisto, 20, was arraigned in court Friday on multiple charges including unlawfully fleeing a police officer.
The collision resulted in the deaths of a couple and injury to their daughter. According to troopers, the pickup truck Sisto was driving crashed into the compact car the family was riding in head on. Sisto was allegedly high in drugs at the time of the police pursuit and accident.
Three children were also stated to have been in the vehicle with Sisto at the start of the police chase, but they were dropped off at a fast food restaurant during the course of events.
Sisto was being held on $100,000 bail on Friday at the Essex County Jail.
