Ireland – Justin Timberlake and wife Jessica Biel have filed a lawsuit against a British tabloid alleging the magazine inaccurately attributed quotes to Biel and used a photo of the couple without authorization. As reported by UPI, the couple has filed separate defamation lawsuits against the magazine Heat in Irish court.
Paul Tweed, an attorney for Timberlake and Biel, is quoted by UPI as releasing a statement saying, “We have issued defamation proceedings [against Germany-based Bauer Media Group] on behalf of our clients, Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel, in relation to an article and a headline in [British tabloid] Heat magazine.”
Tweed is further quoted as stating of the couple’s reason for filing suit in Dublin, “We are suing in Ireland in relation to publication in all jurisdictions, as our clients are entitled to do.”
