Albany, GA – A woman accused of cutting off her roommate’s nose has been put on trial for charges related to the incident. As reported by WALB, the woman claimed the act was done in self-defense.
Rakeesha Wheeler, 20, was charged with aggravated battery and placed on trial in Dougherty Superior Court. She allegedly sliced off part of Melissa Britten’s nose during an argument.
According to prosecutors, Wheeler had been told by Britten to move out for non-payment of rent.
The incident reportedly occurred in September of last year.
