New York – Lewy body dementia was reportedly a contributing factor in the suicide of actor Robin Williams. As reported by WebProNews, Williams’ wife Susan Schneider, told authorities that prior to his death. Her husband had voiced complaints over how medications he was taking for Parkinson’s had made him feel.
According to the Mayo Clinic “Lewy body dementia is the second most common type of dementia after Alzheimer’s disease. Patients with Lewy body dementia may have hallucinations—which may appear in the form of animals, objects or deceased people from their past. Conversations with the aforementioned may occur.”
Robin Williams died on August 11th after hanging himself in his home. The actor was 63 years old at the time of his death.
