Atlanta – The mother of singer Kelly Rowland has died. As reported by WebProNews, Doris Rowland Garrison passed away at the age of 66 after going into cardiac arrest.
Rowland is quoted as stating of her mother following her death, “She was an incredible soul who made countless sacrifices so that I could become the woman – and now mother – I am today… We humbly appreciate all the love and support and only ask for privacy during this difficult time.”
Rowland, who is married to Tim Weatherspoon welcomed her first child, a son, on November 4.
As noted in the report, Doris Rowland Garrison also had a son, Orlando.
