Los Angeles – Actress Kate Hudson and her musician fiancé have ended their long engagement. As reported by PEOPLE, Hudson and Muse lead singer Matt Bellamy, who’ve been dating since 2010, called off the engagement after three years.
A rep for Hudson is quoted by PEOPLE as stating, “Kate and Matt have been separated for some time now… Despite this, they remain very close friends and committed co-parents.”
The couple share a son who was born in 2011, the year they became engaged.
Hudson is quoted as previously having stated about the pair’s long engagement, “My parents aren’t married… And one of the reasons why they never got married is because they had been married before and they liked it the way it was. They didn’t feel like they needed a piece of paper to be committed.”
