Washington – A lockdown at the White House ended after a suspicious package left across the street was cleared. As reported by WebProNews, the package, left IN Lafayette Park was examined by an explosive ordinance disposal unit.
Nothing hazardous was reportedly found by investigators.
Press secretary Josh Earnest is quoted as stating in a news conference of the incident, “There is a device that has been recovered by the Secret Service at the White House. The early indications are that it does not pose any sort of ongoing threat to anybody at the White House.”
