Boston, Massachusetts—April 06, 2015 New Boston based company The Sock Society is the online service that delivers you two pairs of quality, stylish, smart and dapper socks of your choosing, to your door, every month. Their philosophy is that socks are the new ties in the workplace. With the de-formalization of the office from suits to business casual, socks are now the new way to express individuality.
My name is Alec Schidlovsky and I am the founder of the Sock Society. The Sock Society is unlike any other box service, because the sock offerings change every month and we allow users to log in to their account and choose which socks they would like us to send them. Members can also choose the frequency with which we send them their socks. Socks are also available for non-member purchase at a non-member rate from our “Hamper”.
The Sock Society has partnered with a Boston based company FirstGiving. FirstGiving is a peer funding company that helps trusted non-profits gain funding for their cause. FirstGiving works to power well known organizations like Special Olympics, The Humane Society, Habitat for Humanity, and many, many more.
The partnership will empower Sock Society members to give a piece of their monthly membership to their favorite non-profit of their choice with just a click of a button. Members will then be able to login to their account anytime and manage their non-profit contribution, allowing members to donate to a different non-profit every month if they choose.
