Los Angeles – Former model and porn star Christy Mack recently opened up to
rel=”nofollow” href=”http://espn.go.com/espnw/news-commentary/article/12627754/the-tragic-love-story-christy-mack-mma-fighter-war-machine”>ESPN about being assaulted last August allegedly at the hands of MMA fighter Jon “War Machine” Koppenhaver. Mack reportedly sustained a liver injury and face injuries after being badly beaten by Koppenhaver, with whom she was previously in a relationship.
Mack stated during the ESPN interview that her former boyfriend turned abusive months after they began their relationship. In addition to the physical assault during the incident in August, Koppenhaver allegedly cut off her hair with a knife.
Mack has said she is still in recovery from being assaulted. She has documented her ordeal on social media stating of her decision to publicly discuss her story, “This is not acceptable. I’m not going to sit around in my hospital bed and have people say that I did something wrong. This is what happened, so I decided to put it out there.”
Koppenhaver has been charged in connection with the incident on multiple counts including attempted murder and sexual assault. He has reportedly pleaded not guilty to all charges.
