New Jersey – Dr. Mehmet Oz came to the aid of two individuals who were injured in a recent car accident in New Jersey. The crash on the New Jersey Turnpike occurred near exit 6. Emergency responders say that the celebrity doctor aided the injured victims prior to their arrival, and provided them with information after they came to the scene.
Westampton Chief Jason Carty is quoted as stating of Dr. Oz, “He was very helpful and very thorough, a lot of help to our crew… It obviously was a surprise for them to get on scene and see a TV celebrity helping out the injured people.”
Carty further stated that the two people were subsequently taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
A spokesperson for Oz said that the doctor has assisted injured or ailing people under similar circumstances before. In 2013, a taxi cab struck a pedestrian after jumping a curb close by his studio. The doctor reportedly rush to the scene to help.
