Vancouver – A voluntary product recall was recently initiated by Pyng Medical Corp. The company announced the recall saying it was “related to a setting on its MAT product.”
According to the company’s press release, “A manufacturing error affected about 5%-10% of units in 7 lots. The affected units were not put in the proper “set position” before packaging.”
The company further stated that the defect is not a design issue and is not linked to a defect in the MAT product.
As further stated in the press release “Pyng's manufacturer has immediately taken responsibility for correcting the problem.”
Pyng Medical Corp is an engineer and marketer of trauma and resuscitation products. According to the company’s release “Pyng develops user-preferred medical devices for use by hospital staff, emergency medical services and military forces worldwide.”
