Ludos Protocol has announced the first game title to launch on its decentralized gaming ecosystem. The team will partner with INFUN, the developers of IronThrone, to offer gaming communities a glimpse of what is possible for blockchain games developed on Ludos Protocol’s ecosystem. Fans of IronThrone will discover the advantages of owning and trading their hard earned in-game assets as well as the benefits of a truly scalable blockchain gaming platform.  

IronThrone is an addictive wargame where players can opt to be a Lord or Tribal Leader, can build armies and declare or join wars to gain territories. It’s the first real-time strategy war game developed to take blockchain gaming a step further.

One of the key innovations is that all game assets, systems, and gameplay in IronThrone are transacted on a public blockchain. Thanks to its partnership with Ludos Protocol, INFUN will be able to develop more complex functions and accommodate more gamers at any one time on IronThrone, given ecosystem’s multi-sidechain ability to do so.  Games developed on the blockchain have traditionally suffered from gameplay simplicity and constant crashing, due to low TPS in blockchain architecture.

On the Ludos Protocol ecosystem, any player will be able to easily trade, transfer value, or even make a profit on their virtual assets just like they would do with physical ones, without the intervention of game operators. The ecosystem includes a decentralized exchange where they can transact with anyone on the platform using these non-fungibles, as well as the fungible Ludos Protocol tokens, LUD.

This will also allow assets acquired in any game on Ludos Protocol to be sold and LUD generated from the sale can be used to purchase in assets in other games within the ecosystem. Ludos Protocol has registered LudPay in Japan in partnership with FullPay, to enable interoperability between these virtual assets and physical currencies, which will enable people to buy things in stores that accept FullPay.

Ludos Protocol’s hybrid of Proof-of-Work and Proof-of-Stake consensus algorithm opens the possibility of having separate and multiple sidechains for every game, minimizing throughput on the mainchain. Ludos Protocol is a boon to augment significant improvements that bolster efficiencies needed to support complex games such as IronThrone.
