Los Angeles, CA – Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi and actor Richard Gere have parted ways after dating for six months. As reported by Us Weekly, the pair began dating last spring.
An insider is quoted as stating of their relationship earlier this year, “It started very recently and quietly. It’s very new… I wouldn’t even go as far as calling them a couple. They are dating. It’s the first time Padma has dated anyone since Teddy [Forstmann, who died in 2011], and it’s something she’s been approaching very, very delicately.”
Lakshmi was also previously in relationships with writer Salman Rushdie to whom she was married for three years and Adam Dell, with whom she shares a 4-year-old daughter.
