Hollywood – Elizabeth Pena, who has appeared in several films and television shows, including “Modern Family,” has died at the age of 55. As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Pena’s nephew recently shared the news of her death on the Latino Review website.
Pena reportedly died on Tuesday of natural causes following a short illness at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
As noted in the report, Pena recently worked on a project for the El Rey Network, called Matador.
El Rey is quoted as releasing the statement regarding her death, “We are deeply saddened by the passing of our friend and colleague, Elizabeth Pena…She was a role model, a truly extraordinary performer and an inspiration in every sense of the word.”
