Georgia – A lawsuit filed over the death of a camera assistant on the production set of the Gregg Allman biopic “Midnight Rider” has been settled. As reported by WebProNews, the terms of the settlement in the lawsuit filed by the parents of 27-year-old Sarah Jones have not been disclosed.

Jones was killed by a passing freight train while filming was taking place along a bridge. Unclaimed Freight Productions, Inc., Rayonier Fibers, LLC, and CSX railroad were among those named in the lawsuit.

Gregg Allman was also named in the suit originally, but a determination was made that he had limited involvement in the film.

Following the accident; however, Allman requested that the director stop production on the film, writing, “While there may have been a possibility that the production might have resumed shortly after that, the reality of Sarah Jones’ tragic death, the loss suffered by the Jones family and injuries to the others involved has led me to realize that for you to continue production would be wrong.”
