/EIN News/ Prague, April 27, 2009 – Gun shots ring out in the dark alleys of Prague propelling guests into the seedy under world in this one and a half-hour murder mystery. Unsuspecting guests in groups of 6 to 10 are directed to a secret location every half-hour from 9pm till midnight on Fridays and Saturdays in June. Beginning their adventure on what seems to be a corny ghost tour, guests soon find themselves on a mission to solve a murder that will take them by foot to shady locations. Throughout the journey, sketchy characters played by improv-trained actors, divulge secrets that adds twists and turns to the plot. Tickets maybe purchased for 400CZK online at tickets.cpantics.com.
Cara Clark, artistic director and co-founder of CP Antics, says:
“At CP Antics we strive to design productions that are unlike anything found in a theater. Our goal is for greater audience engagement by staging the action in real-world settings rather than in traditional theater spaces. We send our audience on an actual journey through the streets of Prague to become immersed into a different world. Our goal is to make sure our guests are not passive viewers, but take on an active role, guiding the performance by creating dialogue and interacting with the actors.”
Matthew Pflueger, producer and co-founder of CP Antics, says:
“The streets of Old Town Prague at night reminded me of film-noir. Building on this natural setting and utilizing characters that are corrupt, cynical, and desperate, we designed a plot that would invoke the violent passions of that cinematic era. We invite audience members to take a walk in this dark and fatalistic world.”
