Heroine “Citizen Jane” Has Had A Movie Made About Her Remarkable Life And Accomplishments
San Anselmo, CA – September 14, 2009 — Local San Anselmo, CA heroine and activist Jane Alexander, recipient of the prestigious 2006 Minerva Award, author of the book “Citizen Jane”, co-founder of the group Citizens Against Homicide (citizensagainsthomicide.org) based here in Marin County has had a movie made about her. Jane is played by Ally Sheedy and the persistent detective who finally breaks the case and arrests the brutal killer is played by Meat Ball. The members of Citizens Against Homicide have cameos throughout the movie. CAH members meet on the second Sunday of the month at San Rafael Commons, 302-4th St, San Rafael, CA. (As the front gate is locked, just knock on window to the left and we’ll welcome you in.) All are welcome to attend.
The weekend of September 12 was first showing of the movie “Citizen Jane” showed on the Hallmark Channel at 9:00 pm and be REPEATED thru out the months of September and October on the Hallmark Channel.
The movie is based on the true life story of Jane Alexander who fell in love, lost her Aunt to a murderer, and then after years of persistence found out it was her boyfriend Tom who had murdered her beloved Aunt so he could profit from the inheritance Jane would receive.
Ally Sheedy as Jane and Meat Loaf Aday as the detective who finally brought Justice to her.

We provide support for the families and friends who have had a loved one murdered by explaining how the police and legal system work, putting up $50,000 reward billboards, write letters to the parole board urging “no parole” for murderers, provide police with support and many other services explained on our website.
