California injury lawyer news-Fullerton tractor trailer driver dies in motor vehicle collision.

Fullerton, CA–A fiery motor vehicle collision (MVC) involving a semi-truck and another vehicle killed one driver and injured four other people in Fullerton, California on Thursday, July 23. The Orange County Register reported the big rig crash took place on the 57 freeway at Chapman Avenue. California Highway Patrol (CHP) state troopers state the truck wreck happened at approximately 7:00 p.m. Police leaders indicate the 18 wheeler truck was transporting meat products on southbound 57 near Cal State Fullerton when the wreck occurred. For unknown reasons, the truck crashed with another vehicle. The tractor-trailer truck went into flames after veering across several lanes, jumping the center median divider, and landing in the northbound lanes. Highway fatality detectives have not released the names of the two drivers. The condition and extent of damages sustained by the other vehicle is unknown.

Fullerton area emergency medical services (EMS) team pronounced the truck driver dead at the accident scene. The other vehicle involved in the collision carried four occupants. California paramedics took the four victims to a local area hospital for treatment of minor injuries by doctors and nurses. The names of the four injured motorists have not been released by police officials. Northbound and southbound lanes of the 57 highway were closed off for hours while police investigators examined the scene of the crash. Northbound lanes resumed traffic by 5:38 a.m. Friday morning. Southbound lanes reopened by 6:15 a.m. Northern Orange County police detectives continue to investigate the cause of the big rig automobile accident.
