Legal news for Georgia aviation accident attorneys. A fatal plane crash destroyed a house and sparked a fire.

Federal Aviation Administration alerts Georgia aviation accident attorneys- A fatal plane crash involving a twin-engine Cessna plane completely destroyed a home.

Atlanta, GA—A horrific plane crash leveled a couples two-story home and left two people dead. A small plane crash-landed into a Gwinnett County home on Friday, October 30, 2009 around 1:30 p.m., at the intersection of Oracle and Walker Drives in Lawrenceville, as reported by WSBTV.

A twin-engine Cessna 310 plane piloted by James Wardlaw, 58, of Atlanta, took off the from Gwinnett County airport and was en route to Sparta, Tennessee to visit his six grandchildren when his small plane crash landed into a two-story home. The plane completely leveled the home of Judith Krichner, 62, and sparked a blazing inferno, which was so intense that it destroyed the two engines of the plane.

The tragic plane crash killed both Wardlaw and Krichner. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) http://www.faa.gov/ reported Wardlaw was the only person inside the plane when it went down. It is currently unknown what caused the plane to crash; and since the plane was built in 1965, it did not have a flight data recorder commonly known as a black box.

The Cessna plane is registered to the Doctors’ Aircraft Services and KM Aviation based from Sandy Springs. Wardlaw reportedly was a doctor who often flew people for free. FAA officials are expected to conduct a full investigation into the fatal plane crash.
