Semi-truck accident attorneys alerts- An 18-wheeler crashed into a fire-rescue pickup truck, injuring four firefighters.

McLean County, ND—Icy conditions contributed to a two-vehicle crash, which injured four firefighters on Thursday, December 17, 2009. A semi-truck reportedly lost control and hit a Garrison fire-rescue truck that was assisting with traffic control at a previous accident, as reported by the Minot Daily News.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol stated, a northbound 2008 Kenworth semi-truck apparently lost control on the icy roadway, which caused it to slam into the Garrison fire-rescue truck around 9:25 a.m., on U.S. Highway 83 near Max. The roadway was reportedly covered in ice due to the freezing rain that fell the night before. The occupants of the fire-rescue truck, a 2000 GMC extended-cab pickup, were Thomas Seidler, 61, Douglas Steinmetz, 59, Ben Berntson, 28, and Ryan Nelson, 26, all of Garrison, were injured in the crash. Two occupants of the big rig were not injured in the collision. Both Seidler and Berntson were treated an area hospital and released. Nelson reportedly suffered severe facial lacerations and is still hospitalized, while Steinmetz in recovering at a Twin-Cities area hospital from serious back and neck injuries. No charges have been filed at this time in connection with the crash. Police officials are reportedly conducting a full investigation.
