Legal News for Ohio Auto Accident Attorneys. Woman ejected from her van after collision with another vehicle; driver and baby taken to hospital.

Two people, including a baby, sustained injuries in an Ohio van collision.

Carroll, OH—A female from Carroll, Ohio, was ejected from her vehicle after a two-car crash on Tuesday, December 29, 2009, reports the Lancaster Eagle Gazette. A Ford Econoline van and a Mercedes mini van were involved in the motor vehicle collision (MVC) that occurred at approximately 9:15 a.m. on Pleasantville Road.

A trooper from the Lancaster Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol (ODPS) allegedly reported that the Ford driver, Samantha Robson, 23, was driving eastbound on Pleasant Road, when she failed to stop at a stop sign. Robson subsequently hit a southbound Mercedes, being driven by Laura Pegg, 42, on Carroll-Northern Road, after she didn’t stop at the stop sign. Robson was allegedly thrown from her vehicle upon impact. The Ford came to a rest on its side off the road, where as the Mercedes eventually stopped in a field beyond the edge of the road.

Emergency medical services (EMS) crews on the scene transported Robson to Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio, for the treatment of the injuries she acquired in the wreck. She was reported in stable condition by Tuesday evening. A baby that was a passenger in the Ford also was taken to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, to be treated by doctors and nurses for any injuries acquired. Pegg did not sustain any injuries in the collision.

The intersection was allegedly closed until about 10 a.m., so responders from the state Highway Patrol as well as Violet and Greenfield Township fire departments could clear the scene. Robson received a citation for her failure to yield.
