UsedAirplanes.com Officially Takes Flight With Thousands of Used Airplanes
Tampa, FL – UsedAirplanes.com, the general aviation marketplace of used airplanes and aircraft, today announced the official launch of its much anticipated website displaying thousands of used airplanes and aircraft from hundreds of brokers throughout the United States and abroad.
“We are very pleased to announce the official launch of UsedAirplanes.com,” stated Mark J. Horne, founder. “We believe we have created the most technologically advanced, user-friendly and fastest used airplane and aircraft website online.”
As buyers and sellers flock to the internet and continue their mass exodus from print publications UsedAirplanes.com is well positioned online with the #1 domain name for buyers searching for used airplanes. “The buyers and sellers are clearly online, on smartphones and electronic tablets. Fortunately, these are areas we know extremely well” stated Horne.
UsedAirplanes.com has implemented several industry first innovations including the ability to view all photos at once, a software assisted “Wantlist” and “Virtual Hangar,” the ability to search by tail numbers and seven “sort” options when a listing is displayed. In addition, the search by tail number feature eliminated “duplicate listings” which was one of the main concerns from the brokerage community.
In addition, the UsedAirplanes.com website offers a community blog, education and forum section that allows the community to help one another answer questions on products, education, maintenance, repairs and various questions surrounding the ownership of an aircraft.
Sales for the company have been overseen by Laura Thompson. Over the past several months, Laura has worked with approximately 350 dealers and brokers. “Working with the brokers has been such a pleasure. I truly enjoy assisting them with all their marketing needs,” stated Ms. Thompson.
UsedAirplanes.com launched its beta website in July 2009. Since then they have been busy implementing over 400 additional improvements, features, changes and suggestions from pilots, airplane and aircraft owners and brokers and dealers. In addition, aviation experts and advisors such as Dorothy “Dottie” Thompson have been generous with sharing their knowledge.
“What we are most proud of is the overwhelming response that we have received since our soft/beta launch last July. The results certainly speak for themselves” stated Horne.
“I have to say that we advertise in a lot of different free and paid online publications and UsedAirplanes.com has really impressed me as a professional, clean, and user-friendly way for us to market our aircraft.” – Brian T. Chase, Chase Aviation Company
“It appears that UsedAirplanes.com is going to be one of the premier internet websites for listing aircraft. The format is concise, clear and easy to navigate, the name is logical and the people (especially Laura) have been very helpful.” – Dick Durand, Westernair Inc.
“As a pilot, I am constantly researching the used airplane market. UsedAirplanes.com is by far the sharpest, fastest and easiest to use website out there.” – John Brereton, ATP
“Just last month, Google Analytics indicated that visitors to UsedAirplanes.com stayed on the website 388% longer, while viewing 340% more pages than peers Google benchmarked us against” stated Horne.
The company’s current focus is on driving traffic to the listings. “Mr. Horne and I are now completely focused with driving traffic (buyers) to our website and subsequently to our broker’s listings,” said Ms. Thompson.
