Michigan personal injury lawyer alerts- crash involving fire truck left two people injured, including firefighter.

Washtenaw County, MI (News)—A motor vehicle collision (MVC) involving a fire truck and a car left a firefighter and a Pinckney resident injured on Wednesday, February 10, 2010. The two-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 2:20 p.m. on Dexter Pinckney Road, located in Dexter Township, according to information provided by the Detroit News.

Authorities from the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office reported an unidentified 64-year-old motorist driving a 2003 Ford Taurus southbound on Dexter Pinckney Road before loosing control of his vehicle in a failed attempt to yield the right of way to an oncoming fire truck. The Ford subsequently careened into the northbound lanes of the roadway where it was struck by the fire truck. The Dexter Area Fire Authority fire engine was allegedly en route to the scene of a traffic accident when it became involved in a crash of its own.

Emergency medical services (EMS) crews seemingly responded to the scene to transport those injured in the motor vehicle accident to area hospitals to be treated by doctors and nurses. The Ford driver was allegedly transported to University Hospital in Ann Arbor where he was reportedly listed in stable condition that night. The firefighter was also taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries suffered in the wreck. Authorities in the traffic division of the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office are reportedly conducting an investigation into the crash.
