Nintendo Entering eBook Arena with New DSi XL?
February 25, 2010 /EIN PRESSWIRE/ The fourth generation Nintendo DS device will debut in the US on March 28. The DSi XL moves Nintendo away from small, compact handhelds with its total screen size broaching on iPad and Kindle territory.
The DSi XL has two screens that cover nearly the same surface area as the iPad and the smaller version of Kindle. And not coincidentally, Nintendo touted at its press conference that a compilation of 100 Classic Books would launch on June 14.
Are Nintendo’s aspirations in the e-book arena legitimate? If so, is the company’s installed base of 125 million DS users interested in reading?
