New Orleans, LA—A parking valet at Harrah’s Casino in New Orleans reportedly lost control of a vehicle that he was operating causing a deadly collision, which claimed the life of one woman and injured three others. The motor vehicle collision (MVC) occurred on Sunday, March 14, 2010 around 12:15 a.m., at the Harrah’s valet parking area at 8 Canal Street, as reported by Nola.com.

The New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) reported that a 22-year-old valet employee was trying to back up a Lincoln Navigator when he somehow lost control of the SUV. The reversing luxury SUV slammed into another vehicle, three people, two taxi cabs, and several other vehicles before coming to a stop. Two men, ages 22 and 47, and Quina Jones, 30, were rushed to a local hospital for treatment. Jones was pronounced dead shortly after arriving. The men are reportedly in stable condition with face, leg and arm injuries. The valet employee was uninjured in the collision, and has since been placed on leave. It has not been determined what caused the valet attendant to loose control of the SUV. At this time no charges have been filed, but the investigation is ongoing. Blood and alcohol tests are currently pending.
