San Diego, CA (WiredPRNews.com) May 3, 2010 — San Diego bankruptcy lawyer D.J. Rausa was chosen by the San Diego Bankruptcy Forum to moderate their Chapter 7 Trustee Panel April 27.

Mr. Rausa, the owner of The Law Offices of Rausa & Mason, was elected to the Board of Directors this year, and he serves as the education coordinator for the organization. The San Diego Bankruptcy Forum is a non-profit organization of professionals working in the areas of bankruptcy and insolvency, including attorneys, accountants, trustees, bankers, real estate professionals, auctioneers, appraisers, consultants and others involved in the bankruptcy and insolvency process.

“Programs like the Chapter 7 Trustee Panel help San Diego bankruptcy professionals keep up with the latest regulations and procedures,” Mr. Rausa said. “As more and more San Diego County individuals find themselves filing for bankruptcy, we want to make sure the San Diego legal community understands the changes in the law.”

Almost 100 legal professionals attended the 2-hour event. Mr. Rausa moderated the discussions among seasoned trustees and other leaders in the San Diego bankruptcy arena.

Mr. Rausa has been helping consumers file Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcies in San Diego for more than 16 years, and he said the ever-changing case law can be hard for legal professionals who do not specialize in bankruptcy to understand.

“It’s critical that a San Diego bankruptcy firm stay on top of all the subtle developments of bankruptcy law,” he said. “Playing a leadership role on the forum ensures that Rausa and Mason attorneys will have the most recent updates.”
