Nov 23, 2010 /EIN Presswire/ – Republican nominee Joe Miller moved his challenge of the election results in the Alaska Senate race from federal to state court this week.

Murkowski claimed victory in the race last week when she led Miller by more than 2,000 votes, a total which does not include the more than 10,000 ballots contested by the Miller campaign.

With just several weeks before the new Congress is sworn in, the Murkowski camp is trying to end court challenges to the election and to avoid disenfranchisement of voters.
