Orlando FL plastic surgery office staff and Dr. George Pope educate patients about Sculptra Aesthetic and provides a live demonstration of the product being administered.
/EINPresswire.com/ Orlando, FL – Orlando Plastic Surgery Center was home to a packed house on Wednesday, November 30, 2011, as staff and guest speakers educated interested attendees about Sculptra Aesthetic, Revision Skincare, and Vi Peel at the Spotlight on Sculptra Orlando event.
Upon arriving, guests checked in and were treated to light appetizers and wine, as well as a gift bag full of Revision Skincare’s most popular products.
The night began with presentations by board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. George Pope and Sculptra product representative, Amanda Mills.
The presentation highlighted the benefits of Sculptra and how the product works. Following the presentation, guests were able to ask questions about Sculptra.
Guests were then introduced to Revision Skincare’s line of skincare products, which are all currently available at the Orlando cosmetic surgery practice. They were able to sample some of the company’s most popular products, which included Nectifirm, a product that tightens sagging skin on the neck and décolletage, and Intellishade tinted moisturizer, an anti-aging cream with UVA/UVB protection.
Later, they were witness to a live demonstration of Sculptra in the on-site plastic surgery surgical suite.
Two patients were administered Sculptra; one by Dr. Pope, board-certified plastic surgeon in Orlando, and another by Linda Gilliland, ARNP, PhD. Following the demonstration, guests were also able to watch a patient receive the popular Vi Peel, a gentle, yet highly effective facial peel that stimulates the production of collagen, eliminates acne scars, and softens fine lines and wrinkles.
Door prizes were awarded at the end of the seminar.
“We really enjoy getting together with our patients and educating them on procedures, innovations, and news about plastic surgery,” said Dr. Pope. “They trust our expertise and opinions, and we take that very seriously as cosmetic and plastic surgery professionals.”
Sculptra is a facial injectable that replaces lost collagen, helping to fill in concave areas of the face and improve facial contours.
“Typically, we administer Sculptra in a series of treatments separated by four to six weeks,” said Dr. Pope. “The amount of treatments varies for each patient, but usually three to four treatments are sufficient for many of our patients to see quality results.”
According to the manufacturer, the results of Sculptra can last up to two years (compared to 4 months to other popular injectables like Botox). The results are gradual and they appear over time, in a more natural progression than other injectables.
The popularity of facial injectables and fillers has dramatically increased over the years. The minimally invasive nature of the procedure makes it highly desirable and its affordability and accessibility has increased its prevalence.
In 2010, Botulinum Toxin Type A injections ( Botox Orlando and Dysport ) increased 12% from 2009 and fat tissue fillers rose 14% (American Society of Plastic Surgeons). In total, there were around 11.6 million minimally invasive procedures in 2010, which is an overall 5% increase from 2009.
